Straightening Machines and Automats

With the patented S·F·F·S s­traigh­tening process [Shear-­Force-Free-Straightening] the necessary ­process forces are applied exclusively via the ­material ends. Therefore, no cross forces act on the surface of the materials being straightened. It is also essential that the shear-force-free straightening process ­reduces r­esidual stresses in the material.

The following materials can be straightened:

  • Metallic bars, tubes, and hollow profiles with rotationally symmetrical or near-circular cross-sections.
  • Finished products, semi-finished products, and raw material in fixed or random lengths.

Drawing Machines

The essence of the patented drawing machine technology C·D·F·I [CentralDrawing ForceInitiation] is the centrally acting drawing force.

With this innovative machine concept, drawing forces of up to 3,000 kN can be achieved.

The following materials can be processed on TETAN ­drawing machines in both, single and multiple draws up to a material outside diameter of 350 mm:

  • Round bars and solid profiles
  • Hollow bars and hollow profiles
  • Round and profile tubes

The straightness control system developed by TETAN operates according to the following process:

A profile sensor scans the material by moving along the material axis. After turning the material at its longitudinal axis, the sensor drives back to its starting position and operates the second scan. The influence of gravity on the material is automatically compensated, on this basis, the straightness results can be calculated.
Neither the material cross-section nor material data are required to determine the result.

This method can be used with the following materials:

  • Round and profile tubes
  • Hollow bars and hollow profiles
  • Round bars and solid profiles

The essence of the TETAN material separation systems L·P·S·D [Long-Product-Separating-­Device] is the fully automatic, low noise and material-friendly operation.

The material separation systems can separate the following products out of a material bundle:

  • Round and profile tubes
  • Hollow bars and hollow profiles
  • Round bars and solid profiles
